As a logical outgrowth of these activities, SRI began supplying a variety of military, firefighting, police, emergency medical services (EMS) and other First Responder Organizations worldwide, with their critical equipment specific training, and tactical training needs.

SRI became a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in March of 2005 and was certified by the NYS Office of Homeland Security in 2006. During the next two years the company was named on four major defense training and procurement Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) Contracts.

In 2007 the SRI team visited Baghdad, Iraq where they trained the First Joint Sunni/Shiite HazMat Team which lead to SRI being recognized by the Department of Homeland Security as one of the best small businesses on its performance evaluation. The following year the company received recommendation from a major insurance company, Global Emergency Preparedness Corporate Security Division a Fortune 20 Company (#2 Most Secure Company in the US) as one of the best small business for performance.
